I remember the first time I went to look for a purple toned product for my hair it was quite a challenge. There was like one little sachet of something purple toned which was a wash in shampoo which did NOTHING. NOTHING.
Recently when I got my hair done, I had to pop to a local Superdrug to look for toner and I was really surprised by the creative hair section. It was as big as the “regular” hair dye section which shows how much peoples’ tastes have changed (and why not!?).
So here is a closer look at Superdrug’s own range, , mainly because the range saved my skin and toned my hideous orange hair and made it look human again.
They have all sorts of products such as semi permanent shades (from bright colours like tropical blue to hot pink to shades like rose blonde), there’s even products like the Pasteliser to tone down the brighter shades and Chalk Finish to use with the new (£4.99) which is semi permanent colours in quite a liquid bottle form.
I have the Silver and Violet pick and mix to deal with any brassiness in my hair and it works a treat without over dyeing them. (My hair does not look good if the purple takes too much).
I also adore the Misty Grey dye which is a semi permanent but also a conditioning treatment. I use this to tone down brassiness again – there are so many tones of silver and grey bailable, some permanent, some semi permanent which I highly recommend.
So this is a heads up post to let you interesting people about this range in Superdrug. I may experiment with some rose pinks in the future depending the condition of my hair. I will let you know!
Have you tried any creative hair colours?
*I purchased the grey and violet, other items are Press samples.
