I apologise for the horrible pictures in this post, my excuse is that sometimes I am doing things but my brain is actually asleep. But it’s only pictures! I am here to talk to you about stuff I have used up recently. You see, I have had blogger guilt recently, over all the lovely products I am sent but only ever use 1/3rd of…it is wasteful so I decided to use up my products (as long as they don’t cause my skin any problems) which is why there are so many face creams in this post! I have finished:
1. Kiehls Hydro Plumping Re-Texurising Serum Concentrate
Reviewed here – a lovely jelly like gel which sorts out dryness quite quickly. As my skin got better I found this product wasn’t necessary in my daily routine but whenever I felt quite dry I topped up. When my skin was feeling delicate this would sting but that was rare.
2. Kiehls Deep Moisturising Clarifying Cream
Part of Kiehls Corrective White range for brightening the skin, this cream smells like sherbet and I found it overall a very decent face cream although I didn’t necessarily see any fading of brown spots on my face. Once again when my skin played up, this cream would make my face itch. When my skin was ok, this cream was nicely hydrating and plumping although I would’ve liked to see more brightening.
3. Sofina Face Cream (I forget the exact name)
I believe this was the anti wrinkle deeply hydrating cream. The tub is REALLY small, you don’t get much product but it has an oily texture that was SUPER moisturising. It is supposed to help with wrinkles which I didn’t really think it did. It’s richness despite my dry skin was sometimes uncomfortable in that it left me with slightly blocked pores around my nose area. I was determined to use it sparingly and finish it though since it has some pros.
4. Avene Rich Recovery Cream
Moisturising and quite a bland cream which I do like sometimes – it doesn’t irritate my skin at all and it just a nice basic cream. That’s all I can say about it really – my only reason for not repurchasing is that I want a cream that can do a bit more and my favourite bland face lotion is still Kiehls Ultra Facial Lotion.

A few more here –
5. RMK Skin Tuner Moist
My skin couldn’t tolerate the old RMK face tuners which were fruity based – they made my face itch. The newest formulas work a treat though, gently exfoliating and making my skin feel smoother and ready for moisturiser. I have a brand new bottle of this stuff!
6. Merymaya Eye Make Up Remover
A decent 2 phase eye make up remover – didn’t remove my killer Japanese mascara however but did well with waterproof and glitter eyeshadows. Unfortunately the only eye make up remover I will repurchase is one that can deal with my Japanese mascara too.
7. Sofina Wrinkle Essence
A light weight milky serum which was fine – no miracle results but boosted whatever cream I was using. This should be use around the eyes and mouth in particular but in the end I was applying it all over since I wanted to use it up. It is not discontinued any how but for the price, it wasn’t that effective.
And that is about it for this month! I use shower gel, shampoo and conditioners up constantly though but I use facial skin care up every few months (if that). I am trying to reduce waste at the moment so I will be trying to finish up more products!
How about you?
