Happy Friday everyone! Today I am going to review and talk about MyShowcase – my introductory post from a year or two ago here. MyShowcase is a few things; a beauty shopping website with a real catalogue you can peruse, as well as a business you can join by inviting friends to parties where they can try and purchase the products. I have been looking at the catalogue and it is TRULY a beauty lover’s dream.
The products they stock are relatively niche compared to what you find on your average high street but everything is high quality, and the pricing goes from affordable to the pricey. A lot of these products are difficult to source on your own, so you can find them all in one place here. If you like that vibe you will adore them – I was looking through and thinking, I want to try that…and that…. and that….
Anyway I have two products today to review
I am so in to aromatherapy! I do think the power of scent can do all sorts of things to the mind (in a good way!). Both of these brands were unknown to me before MyShowcase too.
Firstly – Roques O’Neil Therapie is a aromatherapeutic collection to help with stresses of our day to day lives.
The Restore Aura Spray 100ML is something you use for a quick fix – to provide emotional support and renew your flagging energies. With the kids in the day I do feel my energies flagging throughout even with a bucket of coffee, so I have kept this nearby to have a quick spritz. It also softens the skin a little.
The scent smells like rose and frankincense – I definitely detect that hint of space and also the white sage which at first was a little jarring, but then it also provided that little ‘wake up’ element if that makes sense. It also contains Rosemary, Lemon, Cucumber and Liquorice extract, and more. It’s the most unusual and complex facial spritz I own….if I were to compare it to Caudalie Beauty Elixir which I find extremely minty, this this one is far softer and gentler with more of a herbal-mint-rose edge. I do like it and the heavy weight dark spritz looks fab!
is so my thing, it could not be more my thing if I tried. I love roll on oils! I do make my own blends, so in my mind to pay a premium for a pre made one, it has to be amazing.
Now this is my first oil and I don’t think it will be the last.
Tazeka is a aromatherapy brand that blend oils after much research for different needs – they then put them in gorgeous little metallic cases that fit right in to the purse. The packaging is GLORIOUS btw. Each one is a different colour and they do look extremely glam.
I have travel companion which is also good if you feel sick in general.
The oils used in Tazeka are 100% organic and ethically farmed. There’s no additional ‘nasties’ like SLS, mineral oil, parabens, dyes etc.
Travel Companion is a mixture of ginger, corn mint (softer than peppermint), cardamom and sweet orange. Ginger stands out the most followed by the sweet orange – I used it when I felt quite sick and the combination of ginger and mint definitely helped pep me up a bit. This would be excellent for morning sickness!
Now at £29.50 for 8ml it is an expensive purchase even with the glorious packaging. However, I was looking in to some of the oils and most of them contain one or two oils that are hard to get hold of and expensive to buy. Travel Companion is one of the simpler blends, granted, but some of the others have several essential oils in them. If you are putting Jasmine Absolute or Sandalwood in your blends for example, these are pricey to buy.
Overall they are so gorgeous – at the price point I can’t swoop in and pick up several in one go but I would definitely have on my wish list ‘Optimism’, ‘Peaceful Slumber’ and ‘Motivation’.

Anything else I think looks fab on MyShowcase?

Finally Albus & Flora’s SPF30 are reasonably priced and has great reviews!
