It’s not too late right now if you need to order some Christmas presents online!
So if you are stuck, may I suggest some Molton Brown for the person in your life who can appreciate genuinely nice smelling body and home products? When I was younger I was all about the Vanilla candles, but the older I get the more I can appreciate a complex scent. What I am saying is, buy Molton Brown [for yourself] for the person who you know understands why some candles cost over £30 – not the person who is still fixated on The Body Shop’s Satsuma range. I digress.
Milton Brown have Christmas specific scents every year. How cool is that?!
Molton Brown’s Wondrous Myrrh, Musk and Cypress is one of the Christmas candles. It is one of the nicest candles I own; it is so beautiful if you like fresh, crisp, green but woody like in depth scents. Dare I mention Mo Jalone? Because this candle reminds me a little of their beautiful Pine & Eucalyptus candle even though they don’t have the same notes. It has that same, OOHH type first sniff.
Top note: ginger.
Heart note: cypress.
Base note: musk.
So I can’t detect ginger so much – if you hate ginger don’t let this put you off this candle. The Cypress I can smell and really makes it, it has this nettle-pine fresh quality but also a woody-ness that smells like the out doors. It isn’t floral or feminine, it is quite neutral really, although the musk gives it a full bodied strength. If Santa was real, his grotto would smell like this during dinner parties.
At £36, if this is out of your budget, the other big Christmas scent is which more peppery, warming, comforting is the Festive Frankincense and All spice.
Top note: allspice.
Heart note: frankincense.
Base note: vetiver.
Again woody but spicy, this is a really nice softer Christmas scent than the candle, but still screams Christmas to me. I can really smell this on my hands for a little while after washing with it.
this is an affordable way of gifting a scent and also encouraging people to wash their hands!
