I must admit, my brow game is average at best. I have quite full brows but I am lazy, I skip them, but they always look better with a little tidy and colour to fill in any sparse areas.
As I tend to get carried away, I try not to use anything super pigmented in pencil form – I do not feel like myself if my brows are too thick and dark. One of my favourite products to use is Jill Stuart’s Brow Powder, which is one of the best compacts I have ever used, but there is the added fuss of having to get a separate brush and gel etc. That’s why I like a brow mascara,
What can be easier than just quickly running a brush through the brows? In the olden days, all brow mascara was clear, but then came tinted shades, and now there are some super duper pigmented shades. I am quite a fan of the which I thought I reviewed but did not (sorry). That teeny little eyebrow gel packed a LOT of pigment so you didn’t need to use anything else to add colour. It could almost be too pigmented sometimes. It also costs £26, so when mine dried up, I didn’t buy another, although I really like it.
So when I spotted the Innisfree Ultrafine Browcara, I figured at £5 a pop (the exchange rate is so poor at the moment) it was worth a go.
The USP of this product is the fact it has a super super super fine tiny micro brush. If you have small or sparse brows, this brush is great for you, because you will be able to coat all the hairs carefully. For eyebrows like mine which are fuller, they still work well because they comb through and you can really wiggle it more in areas that need filling in. It also feels like you are actually giving them a comb!
This also comes in 5 shades:
– Rose Brown (reddish medium brown)
– Espresso Brown (dark cool brown – the one I have here and the darkest in the range.)
– Latte Brown (light medium warmish brown)
– Honey Brown (light golden brown)
– Gold brown (light yellow brown)
The texture of this is fine – it has light hold and neatened up my brows although it didn’t stick down the sticky up brows.
Pigmentation is HIGH. HIGH. Very similar to the By Terry which costs 4 times more. I only had to wiggle this through my brows once to get the pigmentation pictured below.
I am really like this because it’s so easy and quick and eliminates the need for any more products. I have purchased the lighter side so I can use them together for a more blending look.
I recommend this for anyone who wants a truly pigmented eyebrow mascara!
