Listen – I discovered LUSH years ago when there was one tiny shop in Poole, and I used to get the catalogue in the post and order like two things because they shipping was expensive. I want a t-shirt that says that actually. WHEN I DISCOVERED LUSH YOU WEREN’T EVEN BORN.
Anyway Lush. I’m not a Lush baby if I am honest, it’s not because I am joyless, it’s just because the smell of the place used to give me headaches. BUT. Then I had kids. They love bath bombs. No one does bright and fun bath bombs better than Lush, so suddenly I find myself dragging myself there twice a month to spend £40 of bath bombs FFS.
So whilst I’m there I think, ok I’ll try some other bits and bobs.
You know I like weird stuff. Tooth Powder is pretty weird, although I suppose Eucryl has been around forever (a polishing thing which is cheap as chips). I am all for natural stuff in my mouth.
Now LUSH have a few flavours of Tooth Powder, I decided to go for Atomic, which is a mixture of coffee, cardamom and clove cos hey, I love coffee. There is also a wasabi one but I mean…please.
So how you use this is by wetting your tooth brush and dipping it in to the powder – not too much or it will clump up. It doesn’t look like a huge tub but it will last.
Then you just brush – it seems to foam lightly IMO, and it leaves my mouth feeling really fresh and my teeth quite white although this one has a brownish tint to it (do wash your brush, rinse your teeth well).
I am actually a little in love with this tooth power. The taste is really strong – CLOVE is overwhelming to me, more so than coffee or cardamom. If you hate clove, you will hate this. There’s a aniseed type taste to it to in my opinion. It is warming and zingy and I really think you should try a bit first to see if you like this or not – if you are a mint only type of toothpaste person you may hate this. I love it!
I don’t hate toothpaste either I might add, but at the moment I am enjoying this. I might pick up the other flavours too and make tooth brushing time a bit more fun.
I bought this it cost £5.45 for a tub.
