Another day, another matte liquid lipstick to try. See, I am warming to these formulas because I do like the matte look and I like a lipstick to last for more than one cup of coffee.
I tried these matte lipsticks from Lord & Berry with hope in my heart – whilst the packaging is simple, the shades look wearable. The colours are Noblesse, a pinky brown an First Lady, a cool tones brown.
These liquid lipsticks contain Neem, Sesame and Indian Frankincense oil – they are highly pigmented and smooth looking. They look matte but not overly dry and it doesn’t settle badly in to the lips.
Swatches – Noblesse is the more wearable of the two for me. The pink tone makes it look brighter on the skin, similar to Kat Von D’s Lolita colour. I have no complaints about the pigmentation and finish overall. As long as you keep the layers thin, it doesn’t look caked.
First Lady is a brown taupe type shade, a bit like MAC Stone which is a very popular shade – I am not keen on it on me personally as I think it looks a little ‘dead’ – but it is certainly fashionable.
Overall, if you want to see a good selection of wearable colours in a liquid lipstick form, check these out.
