Kanebo’s replaced the lovely T’estimo range about a year ago – I always thought that T’estimo was a great range, so was a bit sad to see it go. Coffret D’or, although I have nothing against it hasn’t quite captured my imagination – I think it’s quite similar to Shiseido’s upmarket MAQUillage – sleek, glossy, elegant but not outrageously expensive like SKII or Cle De Peau, however I prefer
Anyway – I have a sampler for the new Coffret D’or lipstick, to be released on 16th Dec. Japanese lipsticks generally follow the glossy – light sparkle side – the textures are ususally far superior to Western brands although the longevity may not be as good.
On the lips:
PK237 is super super pretty, a light sheerish pink with gold multi sparkles. My favourite one of the bunch.
OR102 is a medium pigmented shimmer warm orange.
RD175 is a shimmery, medium pigmented red with silverish sparkles. I don’t do reds but I like this one very much.
BE184 is a love it or hate is shade of Beige – a brown-orange base rather than a beige/nude/caramel shade.
RS252 is a medium pigmented rosy pink colour, it has cool silver sparkles in it. This is one of those colours that will look good with everything.
Finally PK241 is the pigmented sister of PJ237 – a cute pigmented baby pink with a few sparkles.
If they all look a bit similar – well they sort of are. Especially with the pink and red shades, they aren’t massively different from one another so not the kind of things you want to buy a whole range of – they all have a very wet lip glossy look. For me, I would go for PK237 and RD175.
Look out for this range once it hits – ill also have it in stock usually sooner but at a higher price.
Peace out dude, its the weekend!
