Merry December everyone! How is everyone feeling? Do we love or hate Christmas here? I am a Christmas fan because as crazy as my family are, we have fun together and despite everything, most of my family get together for the day.
Anyway let’s talk about one of everyone’s favourite bits of Christmas. Presents!
This is not my only gift guide type post – this is one with a list of preliminary presents I am thinking of buying for people in my family (like, REAL purchases for REAL people). Does that make sense? Ok, let’s go…
1. For my children, because a toy for fun is not enough.
Sorry I am an Asian parent, that means at the back of my mind I am asking, ‘Where is the educational value in this?’
If you are like me you will know Learning Resources, who had fun but learning-productive type games. LEARNING DISGUISED AS FUN.
I fancy this for the older child as he loves building:
2. For my Aunt who won’t shut up
You know that relative that won’t stop talking?
There’s this cool board game by Hasbro called Speak Out -you put a mouth piece in which is like what Dentist use to see all your teeth for whitening for example. You have to read out what’s on the card and your team mate has to understand you. Sounds simple but
3. For my husband who fancies being a serial killer
No not really. For some reason he’s decided he wants some so I’ve been looking around for a bargain – these ones from ASOS are reduced to £25 and look quite smart and not too ‘I am going to murder you in a bit”.
I’m done. Only three things?! Please, it’s only the beginning of December! I’ll be back with more ideas shortly…..
