I was talking to a few ladies just yesterday and quite of us mentioned how the smell of Olay products reminded us of our mums! Their ‘beauty fluid’ was a classic product back in the day that was probably universally used by hoards of women.
So Olay. My mum still swears by their products. They currently have a completely free app (available on tablets and mobiles) called the ‘Olay Skin Advisor’. This uses VizID Technology which determines the “best” areas of your face and areas that require “improvement”. I randomly did this and it only took minutes and was interesting to look at.
Here are my results:
Ok I am ok with my result.
It is a lower number than my real age which is good. Plus, since I’ve had kids I have visibly aged, from lack of sleep and general lack of self care (this does not worry me as this changes once the children get a bit older!). It says that my forehead is the best area which I have been told before as it’s very smooth and the cheek as my improvement area, which I also agree with since I wish they were firmer.
So this is how you take the test:
Step 1. Take a photo. The Skin Advisor compares your photo to other uploaded images to reveal the skin age.
Step 2. Questionnaire. A few questions are asked like what your area of concerns are.
Step 3. Skin Analysis. Using the pixels in the selfie and comparing to other selfies on the database, the Skin Advisor detects areas that are driving your skin age and analysis ageing areas with 99% precision (apparently). So the 5 key ageing zones are:
– Crow’s Feet
– Under Eye
Step 4. Product recommendation. Obviously no pressure to buy anything but they will recommend some Olay products for you.
if you want to give it a try! I found it quite interesting, and I a, going to try some new Olay products soon!
*Not a sponsored post, just to clarify. I just like to try out these apps.
