Every year Estee Lauder offers you a chance to look like a tanned Brazillian sun queen with a re-vamped Bronze Goddess collection, always with a few limited edition products. This year is no different and I have two picks from the collection and also another Lip Envy lipstick (I have a mini collection!) called Ambitious Pink, which is a limited edition shade for Sefridges Beauty Project.
First off, the Bronze Goddess goodies!
Bronze Goddess Luminous Liquid Bronzer is a bronzer in…er….liquid form. I have one of these from 3 years ago, it basically lasts forever. I don’t know why I didn’t consider using a liquid bronzer like this more before – unlike powder bronzers that can look a bit powdery and heavy on my dry skin, this liquid bronzer is easy to work in and once it sets, it really sets.
It’s also less greasy than a cream or gel bronzer (like Chanel Universel) and also more hygienic since it’s in a bottle.
The Estee Lauder Liquid Bronzer has a hint of shimmer, looks glittery when swatched, is actually not too shimmery once applied – the finish is quite natural you don’t end up with a shimmer ball of a face.
Also limited edition is the Cheek and Lip Blush in a ‘universal’ reddish tone:
At first I wondered if it was a bit too red for my liking – I don’t know about you but I can get quite hot, red and flustered in hot weather and I didn’t really want this emphasising any piggy-in-heat-ness. But actually they got it right because this light textured cheek and lip cream (sort of a gel-cream texture) looks really pretty on, not at all too red, and works as well on lips as it does on cheek.
Once again it sets and last quite well although I must have weird cheeks as I find any blush fades on my quicker than any other item of make up!
Also to mention is the lovely limited exclusive to Selfridges lipstick, Ambitious Pink, which is a bright hot pink.
I think the EL Lip Envy range is for EVERYONE; it’s creamy and pigmented but also long lasting. It’s neither too shiny not too matte, it’s comfortable to wear and not too heavy.
Ambitious Pink is very me, I love hot pink:
This colour will get lots of wear during the summer months, it’s a very cheer your face up colour.
Below I am wearing the bronzer, cheek and the lipstick. See how tanned I look! Tanned!
Bronze Goddess is (£23 – £25) and Ambitious Pink is (£24). A lot of stuff is sold out online so off to the counter!
