Sheet masks are big business these days, and they are ever popular in South East Asia where they are a regular part of the skincare routine. I do like a sheet mask, sure, but sometimes they reduce my mobility in the sense that they are likely to slide off so I can’t move around! Eek!
DHC’s Rich Eye Zone Care Pack is a all in one eye zone mask – a sheet mask for eyes if you like – that contains multi peptides and collagen which improves the fine lines, puffiness and moisture in your eye area.
There’s Hyaluronic acid, peptides and Olive fruit oil in there.
I like these eye masks as I feel like I can still “do stuff” when I am wearing it. There’s another eye mask I like from Korea which is like a jelly texture that works a treat – I don’t know about you but my eye area is the one that could do with th most pepping up. When I look tired, it shows through my eyes.
Inside the foil pack is a plastic case with six of these eye masks (which covers both eyes):
The most interesting thing about these eye masks is how they feel.
Firstly – they are thinner than some sheet masks but good quality – the back feels like cotton and the sticky part is a not wet, more tacky siliconey shiny mask. Put it this way, when you attach it to your skin, it adheres firmly so you could put this on and wonder around the house and it would not fall on. It has a natural stick to it (but not in a bad way). It removes easily too.
This mask is not like other masks that are swimming in liquid. It’s more like a fine jelly mask that fits snugly on to the skin.
You apply this like a Batman mask! It covers all the eye area:
You only need to leave this on for 10 minutes but I left it on for an hour! There was no detrimental effect at all and my area looked brighter and more hydrated. It’s a good perk up for tired eyes that’s for sure if you don’t want to use anything else on the rest of your face.
Note – these masks start to dehydrate eventually, you can’t really save them for future wears!
At £15 (currently on offer at £13.50) it’s worth it because you get 6 masks. I personally will only use one per week. There’s also very few masks that are this shape an cover the top of the eyelid too, and will actually adhere well.
