Banila Co. is a Korean beauty brand which is more mid range (ie. you are looking about £10 for a lip product, £18 for a facial oil) so I expect the quality to be better than the likes of Etude House and Innisfree which are usually cheaper.
Usually I am not disappointed with the result; I don’t have a lot of Banila but with that I have, I really enjoy using the products. I got interested in the Banila Co. Tinted Seoul Tint (it has lots of different names by the way) as they are endorsed by a Korean actress/presenter/personality called Ji Hyo who I really like.
I picked up shade 06 a deep berry plum because I am trying to use lip colours that are out of my comfort zone more often.
Here are all the current colour choices in this particular formula (Banila has a few different ones) – my second choice wouldd have been 02 pink:
Firstly the packaging is really cute, with the I Love Seoul cut out so you can see what shade is inside. It’s also quite a heavy weight metal tube which i like for some reason. The brush isn’t curved but it’s fine for application the sponge is soft enough.
The colour is pretty true – it’s a deep dark purple plum, like a rouge noir for the lips. It is a medium texture, not too runny like a gloss but not matte or velvet finish, and not too dry either. It’s very much like a liquid lipstick but without the over the top matte finish effect.
It definitely has a strong purple tinge to it. It’s also extremely pigmented, one thin layer would leave a strong tint to the lips and it also stains leaving a berry tint. If you choose to reapply it doesn’t go cakey or look heavy. It also isn’t drying.
Swatch:
Ok, I can’t wear something like this every day – it isn’t really suitable for my relaxed days! But as a stain it is quite wearable.
Here is how it looks like on me – one thing about this lip tint is that you need to work quickly or it can dry a little patchy, as you can see this has occurred in the middle of my lips.
As far as tints go, I think this is a much nicer formula for dry lips like mine than the traditional thin runny sort which I find a little drying.
I do really like this formula, I just wouldn’t wear such a bold colour every day but it’s definitely one to keep hold of.
I purchased this for about £10.

Beautiful indeed but I guess I would go for Peach or peach red for my everyday look. I will check on this…
