Electric cleansing brushes are now pretty well known by most people, and they vary from £10 high street drug store type vibrating type brushes to £200 rubbery slick things. There’s something for most budgets. Some people like myself, just use a cheap flannel on a day to day basis but I do occasionally like to pick up a brush in order to get a deeply cleaned feeling. Regardless of the brush type I find daily usage on my sensitive skin too much and I experience sensitivity if I over use.
Crystal Clear’s brush is an Ionic Sonic cross between a Clarisonic brush but with the rubbery ends of a Foreo.
Here is the head of the cleanser – the silicone ends are rounded and short – they feel quite gentle, certainly a lot less harsh than a brush cleanser which is quite abrasive to me. This one fees like even if you were to press a bit too hard, it woulf;t cause too much problem.
I like that there are 3 speeds as most face brushes don’t give you a choice.
Other good points – it’s one unit and you don’t need to replace heads like you need to with the Clarisonic. It’s also quite easy to wash and if you prefer a handle unlike the Forea which is like a egg-ish dome shape, then this one could be an excellent choice.
I tried the skincare that came with this kit but I felt they were a bit drying so I used the brush with my own skincare like my face wash and it worked a treat at working off the waterproof make up I had on. I would definitely use this a few times a week to give my skin a deep clean when I’ve had heavy make up on.
So to summarise, this face cleansing brush is for you if:
– You want something gentler than the Clarisonic and don’t want to spend a fortune on replacing heads.
– You don’t like the Foreo perhaps because of the price or the shape.
– You want something that is quite gentle but can work away stubborn make up.
