Before Christmas I was sent a little (actually quite a large) goody box full of products to try out to help me relax before the festive season!
Inside were some cute items like a Monopoly set (I haven’t had one for years, but I have recently been building up my board game collection so this was a nice addition!), some bathing products from Champneys Spa, a magazine (good for bathroom reading), a LUSH bath bomb (stolen by my cousin) and some Whittard’s Hot Chocolate in Salted caramel which I have to tell you, is the NICEST powder hot chocolate I have tried…it is not too sweet, not weird grainy texture or aftertaste. It’s just really nice with the slightest hint of salt there – I have already bought another one of these!
Inside the set was also some Babyliss hair tools, the Elegance 2100 Hairdryer which has 3 heat settings and 2 speed settings, and the Elegance Pro 235 Hair Straightener.
I have absolutely loads and loads of hair tools – no idea why other than I love a good gadget, and these Babyliss ones offer good value. For years and years I used a naff travel hair dryer because that’s what my mum had so it never occurred to me how amazing a powerful hairdryer would be!
This Babyliss one does what it says it will – it dries quickly (I always use low to medium heat only), isn’t to heavy to hold. I would say it got my hair dry in 10 minutes of random blasting.
The hair straighteners get hot in about 20 seconds and reach 235C in temperature. Once again I have a ton of straighteners and again, these perform well – they are not GHD but then again they don’t have the price tag either. For people who want to get rid of frizzes and mild kinks this device will work perfectly well.
It is also really smooth and glides through nicely without dragging.
The hair products can be purchased and other Babyliss retailers.
I suppose if I were putting a care package together for a friend I would choose similar things! A magazine, a bath product, some form of chocolate, a puzzle and something for her hair…maybe some face masks and because I am a stationery addict, some kind of notebook!
What would you put in a treat box for someone?
