It’s nearly Christmas, can you believe it? I’m afraid I’ve been snowed under with things to do but finally I have some gift selections to talk about and I hope that it helps some of you with your gifting. Today we have some Pixi Beauty.
There are 3 sets that are particularly good value and really quite universal.
First let’s talk about the Endless Silky Eye Pen Kit (£18) which is SOLD OUT ALMOST EVERYWHERE but not (you can do click and collect too if you don’t want to pay shipping). I am a massive fan of the Endless Silky Eye pens – they are REALLY soft and silky and pigmented and they don’t smudge too much once they set. They usually cost £12 each so a set like this with smaller pencils is a great way to try out a mixture of colours.
Black Noir, Black Cocoa, Slate Grey, Opal Overcoat and Gold Glow.
Black Noir – Rich intense true black.
Black Cocoa – Intense deep brown.
Slate Grey – Slightly pearly deep grey
Opal Overcoat – Oyster shimmery peach
Gold Glow – Off white shimmer.
There’s nothing disappointing about these pencils at all, highly recommend if you are a fan or want to try these out.
a sweet all in one palette with almost everything you need for a full face of make up.
It’s a dummy proof palette as there’s writing on the lid to let you know what everything is for.
You get 3 base colours, 2 lid shades for the day and evening, 3 contour colours, 3 brow colours, a highlighter, a blush and a contour.
Can this palette be improved? Well a mirror would be nice, but it would most likely make the palette overall more expensive. The sponge applicator is not my thing. Besides that though the palette is really good – I tried PIXI mini palettes years ago and thought they were ok but this one is excellent.
Is this palette uncreative? Is it too prescriptive?
No I don’t think so – it’s great for a beginner or someone who is not sure what to apply where. It’s good for people like me who love make up but don’t have time on a daily basis to mess about and make decision on colours – I just want to look better quickly and this kind of palette makes that easier to achieve.
The pigmentation is excellent with the face powders:
