Bags are a British Beauty Brand (alliteration!) with a sweet twist; their products are easy to use everyday hand bag beauty essentials. When I saw the range it reminded me of Korres in terms of elegant, earth packaging and wearable colours – I also love the concept of easy to carry and use products too because I am a complete and utter handbag hoarder. I carry everything.
I have a selection of Bagsy products here to show you!
The packaging for the Bagsy range is really pretty – they look like works of art. Natural colours, pretty watercolour like splashes, earth mosaic prints. Inspired by nature, I think, but in a creative way.
The range is decent but is not huge – not too overwhelming to begin with but not so small that it’s boring.
I also have the Bagsy hand cream that comes in a beautiful tube but I will review that at a later point.
Ray of Sunshine Perfect Glow Bronzer (£18) comes in 2 shades, Light/Medium and Medium/Dark. It comes in a blue pouch but what is really nice about this is the lettering on it! I think it’s really sweet even though it doesn’t do anything, i looks nice!
I have the medium dark. It suits my NC35 skintone it’s quite warn with a peachy edge. I usually prefer a cooler toned brown powder but this was a nice change – I used it more on the cheeks than all over like the forehead etc.
Lip Velvet Soft Matte Lip Colour in Spinning Plates (£12) comes in 4 shades. Spinning plates in a neutral rose colour that dries down in to a matte finish. I love the mini packaging which makes it compact. I think I’d like this more if it had a wetter texture – it is quite dry and I felt that the sponge didn’t pick up enough colour so I had to dip it a few times to get even coverage. I like the colour though which is very elegant and wearable, similar to what that Jenner sister wears that everyone keeps making a fuss about.
Concealing Wonder Wand (£18) is a dual purpose stick with a pearl white highlighter on one side and a salmon concealer on the other. I would say this is for light to medium tones. The highlighter side is soft and creamy and glides on – nice for spot highlighting. The concealer side is waxier but is also nice to spread and adds a brightening effect – it’s quite a good way to kill 2 birds with one stone and save one space.
24HR Eye Colour in Caffeine (£14) is a eye crayon that comes in 4 shades – mine is a silvery taupe. There is also a cream, a black/grey and a blue. This is lightweight and offers a sheer to medium coverage colour and this taupe shade is a perfect wearable colour. I experienced minimal creasing with it after a few hours wear. It comes with a sharpener which is great, but I would love it more if it were a retractable none sharpening one!
