If there is one thing I am short on now that I have a 2 year old and 4 month old that is ‘me time’! Many other mums of 2 small kids will tell you that me time can be a trip to the shop with no kids or a trip to the hairdressers!
I am no exception – I quick walk to the shops alone or going to get a massage feels like a real treat, even though I am itching to get back to my kids afterwards. Another quick fix for me is bath time with the DOOR LOCKED. Yes, the toddler can open doors!
I was sent a bath time box from , makers of Bathroom sites, accessories and supplies (pictured above) so I thought I’d write a bit about my bath time essentials…
Here’s the thing. I never really took baths before my second pregnancy when I got really uncomfortable. I never got the point of just lying there in water but my god, I GOT THE POINT once I was 38 weeks pregnant. For me, my top 5 bath time must haves are;
Oh yeah. Lights off, burn at least 4 difference scented candles for ambient lighting.
Usually played on my iPhone I love meditation (mixture of music and speech) type recordings (there’s an app for that!). It really does move you to a trance like state sometimes if you need to just clear your mind.
3. FACE MASK
You’ve got to slap a face mask on whilst you have a chance – I like mud masks the most I use them in the bath rather than a sheet mask. I will also stick on a hair mask if I remember or just coconut oil does wonders.
4. BATH BOMBS
Once again never got the bath bomb hype until my pregnancy then I was buying LUSH bombs like they were out of fashion. Alternatively I also like bubble baths (vanilla scented) that create loads and loads of bubbles. I love a bubble bath I bought in France which I cannot for the life of me remember the name of (argh).
Afterwards you need a dimly lit room that is super warm and all your PJS and what not ready. Now is not the time for stress! A nice layer of moisturiser all over or body oil, ahhhhhh! How relaxed are you!?
What is your bath time rituals?
