It’s finally here!!!! and have been around forever in their red and pink hues respectively, and now the much needed orange-coral crush shade has joined the stable.
Cha Cha Tint is a mango hued lip and cheek stain. Just when I’ve rediscovered my love for tints too! Thanks Benefit!
Featuring a lightweight liquid formula, the multiuse stain is a bright coral, mango hue and adds a long-lasting subtle tint to cheeks and lips. For application, brush onto the apples of the cheek or lips and blend with your fingertips.
A few weeks ago I attended a Benefit event for Cha Cha tint (a photo for you later) and learned that Benetint was actually created for a stripper who wanted to make her nipples look more rosy!
Or maybe the correct term is exotic dancer. Or go-go dancer. Either way, it doesn’t matter – she must’ve had amazing nipples.
Alas, Cha Cha tint is a beautiful orange hue and is not suitable for nipples, not unless you want them to look like satsumas. Orange could so easily go wrong…mango, could so easily go wrong. Benefit did not get this wrong – they got it right as you can see from this extremely pretty, wearable milky mango:
I like all my Benefit tints although sometimes I find them a bit sheer. Cha Cha tint, I think, has more pigment that the originals, and it can most definitely be seen even on olive complexions like mine. One must work fast – after taking the above photo, I had a orange stain on my hand (d’oh!) and I am the kind of person that will dot it on my cheek and go and have a cup of tea.
Do not get distracted when applying this!
It also looks good on the lips, very natural!
On my cheek – note it’s a bit stripy at the top, my fault as I swiped it and…yes I got…distracted. Whoops. If I do that, I have to go over with a bit of foundation and start again. Dot, dot, dot:
Any criticisms of this product? Well I think it’s fab but if there’s two thing I noticed is that:
a. The finish can look a bit glossy, so don’t mix this up with a matte finish base cos then it looks odd. But it looks great if you are wearing dewy make up.
b. It can cling to dry spots. I had a couple on my cheek and the stain (like all stains) can stick to them and accentuate. Therefore, moisturise beforehand, and if your skin is really dry with patches, avoid using this until your skin is a bit better. Cream blushers in that instance, works better.
This is still my favourite colour from the Benefit tints though.
Oh I promised you a picture from the Cha Cha Tint event, and here it is – those dancers up close are pretty fierce, very energetic, very fast, very…shiny.
Cha Cha tint is excellent, and if you love the Benefit tints then this is a lovely choice. It’s definitely my tint for the summer…or should I say, “summer”.
This costs £24.50 (eek) and you can Aye, it’s dear but it does last a long, long time.
